It feels like I haven't baked for you in a while. Oops, I think I may have been too preoccupied with twirling around . I made a caramel mud cake and a pear & almond tart for an order but I have more to bake so I might not pop round for a bit. I'll have to share my pear & almond tart recipe with you too. beautiful gift I have been thinking about this over and over and  putting the right words down is sometimes hard, that's why you'll never find a post from me without an image.  I express things better that way.  I have been reading a few wonderful things around the blogosphere of late and it makes me tearful, with joy that people feel this way. If you have been following my journey over the last year you'd know about what happened that tore my world apart and left a hole in my heart that is still struggling to heal. So even though I have kinda been this way I have found that I have become more empathetic and understanding towards people's struggles. So if  I have made you smile even for a teeny bit with a little photo and card, I am glad but I have done it because I felt that some love needed to be spread even with the simplest of gestures. beautiful gifts If you feel like there is someone that needs a little bit of loving I hope you will take a minute ...

After a busy weekend, we are enjoying the quiet and heading off to kinder soon. Had a wonderful day on Saturday at my first cupcake workshop , the girls were sooo lovely and really made me enjoy this workshop thing. They rolled out their own cupcake decorations out of fondant, made cupcakes with surprises inside and piped an amazing buttercream.  I loved it and I hope they did too. Later on met up with some really lovely girls for a hot chocolate and chatted away with a new friend like we'd known each other forever.  Don't you just love that about the blog world!                  Off to kinder now, with a new lunch bag, using this tutorial,made out of recycled denim, my favourite and it matches her amazing apple cosy that arrived the other day. A bit of a late one today as I have been surrounded by flour, measuring cups and bowls. Thank you sooooo much for your great cupcake feedback , from what I gather, decorating is pretty high on your list of tips, that's good!! A few of you asked about cupcakes with surprises in the middle, so today that is what I am up to...fingers crossed it passes the family taste test later tonight.  If it is a success I will share it with the ladies at the cupcake workshop on Saturday, there are still spots if you are interested. I promised you a recipe for peanut butter cupcakes and here it is..but firstly I need a little help from you. I promise it doesn't involve washing dishes or babysitting. I need to ask you a few questions.  If you were to do a 3 hour cupcake workshop with me,  what would you like to learn? two flavours of cupcakes you would you like to make  types of icing decorating tips anything else? print me Peanut Butter Cupcakes makes 12 ingredients 75g butter, room temperature 125g crunchy peanut butter 185g brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 125g plain flour, sifted 1 teaspoon baking powder 60ml milk, room temperature method preheat oven to 160C, line a 12 hole cupcake pan with papers beat the sugar, butter and peanut butter for a few minutes until well combined. A sweet friend is stuck in hospital. Someone made her some macarons...pink ones too and someone else is wishing her well. A little girl missed you yesterday so she drew you a picture and made a wish so that you will be better soon. If you get a chance, please pop round and wish her well, she may be enjoying breakfast in bed but she definitely won't mind if you say hello. Happy Tuesday to you ♥ ✗ ♥

I like receiving mail, the kind with a stamp and a hand written note. Whatever happened to that? I tried to collect stamps for my little one and realised most  envelopes don't have stamps on them anymore, it's kinda sad. I am writing a few cards today to send off to some friends and I hope it makes them smile. Lately I have had a slight obsession with bunting and dreaming about different ways to use it, then I stumbled upon paper garlands and now I think I may have a new one. I read this and laughed because I was in the process of getting my new obsession started. I think most of us have a certain something we become obsessed with, what's your thing?
