A s the year draws to an end, my head is full of thoughts and images and I start to think about the year that was and the year that will be. That's when I start writing mental lists of what I'd wish the new year would bring us, my family, friends and to you lovely friends who pop by to sprinkle some fairy dust and love and make me smile. So for the new year my list would definitely include infinite   health  smiles         creativity colour imagination   friends and love What do you wish for the new year? I'd love to hear and as a special thank you for being a part of my journey and my year I will pick a name out of the virtual mixing bowl before the year ends and send them some cupcake wrappers from my infinite stash. Go on, you know you'd love some ♥ ✗ ♥

A few tears rolled down my cheek as we farewelled kinder and are off to get ready for new adventures Said thank you  to the wonderful kinder teachers who provided a wonderful, creative, learning and supportive environment for our little people and left a gingerbread surprise to the little friends made   Hope you held it together for your little people's last days at kinder or school. Are these last weeks just a tad chaotic for everyone else as well? I am off to do some baking and will post the recipe for the shortbread above if you would like later on. S ometimes things around us just don't play by our rules, maybe it's the weather , our jobs, our kids, our friends or just something that isn't going right. I have had a 3 year old rule my life the last few weeks with horrible screams and tantrums and as much as I have wanted to hide from him, I of course couldn't. So instead of giving into him, I am enjoy the things around me that make me happy . fresh lettuce and tomato sandwiches lentils and rice for dinner with fresh carrots chickens pecking away in the wet, wet grass eating carrots in the tyre swing wonderful badges and seeing friends making fruit mince tart mixture for the market on Saturday   Do you have a happy list ?    Pop round to Kate's and read her happy list and let her know, she'd love to read it and so would I. Hope you have a happy day wherever you are ♥ ✗ ♥

Construction has finished and this little gingerbread house is off to kinder this evening to be included in a kinder raffle. It's not your usual gingerbread lolly house so i hope the raffle winner likes it.   It's covered in fondant so I am guessing it will be sweet enough..and yes, bunting obsession is back! At our house today, inside we are doing some construction work with some heavy duty gluing and tea drinking lovely visits and gifts from lovely friends and outside, some soon to be shade construction happening from salvaged burnt tree trunks What's going on at your place today? ✗ ♥
