It's Tuesday and I can't wait.....

.......to give my 6 month old nephew these gorgeously practical bibs that the beautiful Ms Nikki B.Cardigan sent to me as a gift. I mentioned to Nikki that my little nephew is a drooler....and in the mail pop these super cute bibs!
It may not mean much to those who have not experienced "the drool" but believe me it's indeed a problem.
Thank you VERY much Nikki for your beautifully sweet gift!
I think the monkey may keep one though :)
Who else can't wait for Tuesday?

    It was so so so my pleasure to make these for you. Although I still think I got the better deal, in that I devoured your lemon tarts & gingerbread men, and you got bibs!!! I guess that's the downside to having bloggy friends who can't cook! And thanks for the laugh... that photo is perfect!

    I am yet to blog today - have to get a pair of newborn pants sewn up and in the post - out themes are very similar today though!

Honey Jumbles

I just realised that I have been using honey and spices in alot of things lately, I guess it's because it's winter and the smells and tastes make you feel warm and sweet. Have been thinking about making Honey Jumbles for a while and saw them over at Liss's the other day and definitely had to try them as they look and believe me they smell soooo good!  My critics advise me they are delicious and very moreish. Honey Jumbles ingredients 90g butter 3/4 cup honey 2 cups plain flour 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger 1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons milk   icing 1 egg white 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted vanilla extract  strawberry paste Method Place butter and honey in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil over a low heat. As the weather warms up the kids tend to ask for something cold and yummy to enjoy after school. Reading the ingredients labels on ice cream I feel at a loss trying to figure out what all those numbers mean, I mean really, it’s just ice cream, how many ingredients need to be in there after all. I love to try and make everything from scratch so why not ice cream, well I had a go and using an ice cream maker made it really quick and easy. Here’s a basic recipe I made using a Cusinart ice cream maker Berrylicious ice cream Makes 1 litre Ingredients     ¾ cup whole milk   ½ cup sugar or honey if you prefer 1½ cups cream 150grams mixed berries, thawed and slightly mashed with a fork Method U sing a mixer or hand whisk, mix milk and sugar in a bowl for a few minutes until sugar has dissolved   Add cream and mix until combined Turn the machine on and pour the mixture into freezer bowl, and let it mix until thickened, about 25 minut...
