Day 6 : Do you remember the last time you had this much fun!

Sometimes life just gets in the way and we forget to take time out and enjoy the little things that make us smile.

Seeing this photo just made me realise that kids know something we grownups don't.
I don't know about you but the dishes and the clothes that need to be folded can wait, I'm going to remember how to laugh like that again...

    What a fabulous photo. If you can remember what she is laughing at, write it down so you can tell your girl when she is old like us and has forgotten has simple life was!

    Great photo. Kids really do remind us of what's important. I know that when I see my daughter stopping to smell a flower or pick one for me ,it melts my heart and reminds me to slow down and take it in, be thankful for all that we have.

    Yes we do so get caught up in the go go of life and forget to stop and smell the roses. A lovely reminder to do so...

    What a beautiful sentiment and an equally beautiful photo... I think it's always very important to stay young at heart, particularly when things get a little too serious. That's why I see-sawed and monkey barred with my little man today!

Honey Jumbles

I just realised that I have been using honey and spices in alot of things lately, I guess it's because it's winter and the smells and tastes make you feel warm and sweet. Have been thinking about making Honey Jumbles for a while and saw them over at Liss's the other day and definitely had to try them as they look and believe me they smell soooo good!  My critics advise me they are delicious and very moreish. Honey Jumbles ingredients 90g butter 3/4 cup honey 2 cups plain flour 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger 1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons milk   icing 1 egg white 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted vanilla extract  strawberry paste Method Place butter and honey in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil over a low heat. Simmer for a few minutes, then allow to cool for about 15 minutes Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda and spices and add to butter mixture, gently stir in milk.  A...

Berrylicious ice cream recipe and a giveaway for you

As the weather warms up the kids tend to ask for something cold and yummy to enjoy after school. Reading the ingredients labels on ice cream I feel at a loss trying to figure out what all those numbers mean, I mean really, it’s just ice cream, how many ingredients need to be in there after all. I love to try and make everything from scratch so why not ice cream, well I had a go and using an ice cream maker made it really quick and easy. Here’s a basic recipe I made using a Cusinart ice cream maker Berrylicious ice cream Makes 1 litre Ingredients     ¾ cup whole milk   ½ cup sugar or honey if you prefer 1½ cups cream 150grams mixed berries, thawed and slightly mashed with a fork Method U sing a mixer or hand whisk, mix milk and sugar in a bowl for a few minutes until sugar has dissolved   Add cream and mix until combined Turn the machine on and pour the mixture into freezer bowl, and let it mix until thickened, about 25 minut...
