does this ever happen to you?

Those with children in their lives will definitely understand the "photo dilemma". you know when you just want ONE good photo of you and your kids to look at and say "awww....that's a nice photo".
Well today was one of those rare days when you happen to have someone else around as your photographer and you think this is THE chance to get a photo, well, not today!
Oh well, maybe next time!

On another thing, I lost my heart today somewhere in the city with all this crazy Melbourne wind :(
.....very upset about that, I really hope someone else is looking after it.
By the way, my next post will be my 100th, so come back for a visit, there maybe a treat for you ♥

    Awww Cathie, I can empathize completely! We recently tried to get my Mum to take a family shot for us. I think she took about a dozen and not one of them was any good! Wiggly babies, eyes closed, funny faces, everyone looking all over the place, but at the camera... I don't know how the professionals manage it.

    hehehe I think the first photo is the winner!! I think candid kid shots are much more fun then posed ones :) But I do understand the want of one, my whole family is photo crazed. I think my little nephew has had more photos taken of him than some paparazzi followed stars :D Happy 99th post!

    This has made me laugh, an all too familiar sight in my household!!! But I also love these candid, not so 'perfect' photos...I think they will make us laugh in years to come!

    yep!!!I have the SAME problem try to get them not to pull a funny face while you are trying to get a nice pose!!!But they are fun photos!Oh so sad about your little brooch heart but but it seems like Madame curly pop is on a mission!;)

    Oh I hear you! I'd love just one decent photo of myself with my two boys. There's plenty of the boys and their Dad, but not with me.

    I don't have kids but I have the same problem with Mr.P. He just has to pull a face or do something silly in every photo. His mum has been trying to get a good one for 28 years!

Honey Jumbles

I just realised that I have been using honey and spices in alot of things lately, I guess it's because it's winter and the smells and tastes make you feel warm and sweet. Have been thinking about making Honey Jumbles for a while and saw them over at Liss's the other day and definitely had to try them as they look and believe me they smell soooo good!  My critics advise me they are delicious and very moreish. Honey Jumbles ingredients 90g butter 3/4 cup honey 2 cups plain flour 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger 1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons milk   icing 1 egg white 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted vanilla extract  strawberry paste Method Place butter and honey in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil over a low heat. Simmer for a few minutes, then allow to cool for about 15 minutes Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda and spices and add to butter mixture, gently stir in milk.  A...

As the weather warms up the kids tend to ask for something cold and yummy to enjoy after school. Reading the ingredients labels on ice cream I feel at a loss trying to figure out what all those numbers mean, I mean really, it’s just ice cream, how many ingredients need to be in there after all. I love to try and make everything from scratch so why not ice cream, well I had a go and using an ice cream maker made it really quick and easy. Here’s a basic recipe I made using a Cusinart ice cream maker Berrylicious ice cream Makes 1 litre Ingredients     ¾ cup whole milk   ½ cup sugar or honey if you prefer 1½ cups cream 150grams mixed berries, thawed and slightly mashed with a fork Method U sing a mixer or hand whisk, mix milk and sugar in a bowl for a few minutes until sugar has dissolved   Add cream and mix until combined Turn the machine on and pour the mixture into freezer bowl, and let it mix until thickened, about 25 minut...
