My Creative Space...
It has been extremely hot and unfortunately my creative space is lacking in the aircon department...i.e we don't have one, so not alot of baking has been going on all week.A lovely friend came round for a visit yesterday with yummy ice-cream & fruit sticks to cool down the little ones and a big bag of lemons for me...insert BIG smile here.
So here is some visual lemonade to cool you down.

If you'd like to make it yourselves, here's the recipe from Apples for JamLemonade
ingredients
70 g caster sugar
one long strip of lemon rind
juice of 2 1/2 lemons (1/2 cup)
500ml sparkling mineral water
method
- Put sugar, lemon rind and a few tablespoons of water in a small pan and bring to the boil, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved and boil for a few minutes
- add lemon juice and let it boil for another few minutes
- pour into a large jar and let it cool
- pour cold sparkling mineral water in when ready to serve

Pour some in a special glass and enjoy some spectacular creative spaces round at Kirsty's.enjoy ♥

Hi Cathie,
ReplyDeleteRefreshing, will try that recipe-thanks!
My 'creative space' will be ridiculous today- ridiculous because my oven is going on. I know, I know. I promised someone a few gluten free slices and we are going to a function and I am also going to make my 9 year old boy some gf chicken nuggets- best of both worlds- he'll have the same as the other kids AND his nuggets will have chicken in them guarenteed!!
We're certainly not having it hot over here but the lemons look divine any season!!! Thanks for putting the recipe up I was thinking about making lemonade this summer. x
