My Place and Yours.....Kitchen love

Rumour has it that there is some kitchen love going around and how could I possibly not invite you round for a peek and some lovin.

Kitchen love to me are the things in my kitchen that make creating such a pleasure.
I can't love one thing more than the other because they all go hand in hand to make my job so much easier and that's why it was built the way it is.
It has a commercial kitchen feel but unfortunately not the size.

From the amazing oven to the spatulas to the ever so functional tap and laundry sized sinks which I spend so much time with.

I don't even need to mention my baby...do I.

So thanks for visiting and getting a glimpse at my kitchen loves, why don't you have a sticky beek at some other kitchen loving here.

    I was so hoping you'd post on this one as I was keen to drool over your kitchen....and of course, I am! I love it. I love the black tiles especially - ours just show up every possible mark and it annoys me no end. Might sound silly but I can feel the love in the room just by looking at your (beautiful) pics.     Wow what a great kitchen. So that is where you make your divine food. Your tomato and feta tart at the market was glorious. The best I've ever had. So delicious.
    Was wondering if you know where I could buy some little red love hearts to top some cupcakes for a friends engagement? My supermarket has stopped stocking them. Cheers

    Your kitchen is so the kind of kitchen I've been dreaming of since I was a child. I love the red whisk, spatula and tongs...that little burst of color is just enough to really add some cheeriness to the kitchen!

Honey Jumbles

I just realised that I have been using honey and spices in alot of things lately, I guess it's because it's winter and the smells and tastes make you feel warm and sweet. Have been thinking about making Honey Jumbles for a while and saw them over at Liss's the other day and definitely had to try them as they look and believe me they smell soooo good!  My critics advise me they are delicious and very moreish. Honey Jumbles ingredients 90g butter 3/4 cup honey 2 cups plain flour 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger 1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons milk   icing 1 egg white 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted vanilla extract  strawberry paste Method Place butter and honey in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil over a low heat. Simmer for a few minutes, then allow to cool for about 15 minutes Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda and spices and add to butter mixture, gently stir in milk.  A...

Berrylicious ice cream recipe and a giveaway for you

As the weather warms up the kids tend to ask for something cold and yummy to enjoy after school. Reading the ingredients labels on ice cream I feel at a loss trying to figure out what all those numbers mean, I mean really, it’s just ice cream, how many ingredients need to be in there after all. I love to try and make everything from scratch so why not ice cream, well I had a go and using an ice cream maker made it really quick and easy. Here’s a basic recipe I made using a Cusinart ice cream maker Berrylicious ice cream Makes 1 litre Ingredients     ¾ cup whole milk   ½ cup sugar or honey if you prefer 1½ cups cream 150grams mixed berries, thawed and slightly mashed with a fork Method U sing a mixer or hand whisk, mix milk and sugar in a bowl for a few minutes until sugar has dissolved   Add cream and mix until combined Turn the machine on and pour the mixture into freezer bowl, and let it mix until thickened, about 25 minut...
