Chai

Good morning, have you had your morning cuppa yet?

I am not a coffee drinker and for those that know me a little would know that I am a tea drinker, a real tea that is, brewed, in a teapot and enjoyed.

I love Chai and can't really enjoy the chai mixes around so I make my own and add soy milk and honey..mmm

Will you join me for a cup?

Chai

ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon black tea
  • 4 cloves
  • 4 cardamon pods
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • soy milk (I use half a cup)
  • honey
method
  • put tea and spices into a teapot, pour in hot water and allow to brew for a few minutes
  • heat up milk in a saucepan or microwave
  • strain tea into your favourite mug, add milk and honey and sit back and enjoy
Simple as that and once you make your own, you can never go back to mixes.
Hope you have a happy week

  4. Sounds delish! I've never actually had chai, but I have just downed 2 cups of REAL Japanese green tea. Out of character for me to drink tea at all, but the cold weather makes me want it. Hmm, think I could go another....
