My Creative Space...

A bit cold today, foggy, drizzling and all I want to do is have cups of tea.

I thought I'd make a different cuppa today though.

Hope you are inspired today, I loved your winter thoughts and I hope you managed to leave a message here as well, I'll leave it open until the weekend.

I'm playing around with this world of mine, excuse the mess, I think I have lost my sparkle, hope to get it sorted soon and a warm hug to all my new friends.

May even bake a cake as well.

    I hope your sparkle is on its way back to you quick smart. Love the little stamps, but watch it, making stamps is a bit addictive too. I love the feeling of the blade moving through the block.

    I love the changes already made! It gives you a lift to change your blog i think - just like redecorating. Love your sweet teacup!

    It's wild an woolly weather in Sydney too. I'm nursing a cold, sitting with a warm laptop on my...well...lap, and my day is brightened by your cute little cup. How awesome to be able to think up your own stamp design and then to make it! Hope the sparkle comes back soon

    It always seems to sparkle here when I visit Cathie! :) But I know it's hard when you yourself can't feel it there. But something always comes along eventually to inspire it back into glitter!

Honey Jumbles

I just realised that I have been using honey and spices in alot of things lately, I guess it's because it's winter and the smells and tastes make you feel warm and sweet. Have been thinking about making Honey Jumbles for a while and saw them over at Liss's the other day and definitely had to try them as they look and believe me they smell soooo good!  My critics advise me they are delicious and very moreish. Honey Jumbles ingredients 90g butter 3/4 cup honey 2 cups plain flour 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger 1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons milk   icing 1 egg white 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted vanilla extract  strawberry paste Method Place butter and honey in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil over a low heat. Simmer for a few minutes, then allow to cool for about 15 minutes Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda and spices and add to butter mixture, gently stir in milk.  A...

Berrylicious ice cream recipe and a giveaway for you

As the weather warms up the kids tend to ask for something cold and yummy to enjoy after school. Reading the ingredients labels on ice cream I feel at a loss trying to figure out what all those numbers mean, I mean really, it’s just ice cream, how many ingredients need to be in there after all. I love to try and make everything from scratch so why not ice cream, well I had a go and using an ice cream maker made it really quick and easy. Here’s a basic recipe I made using a Cusinart ice cream maker Berrylicious ice cream Makes 1 litre Ingredients     ¾ cup whole milk   ½ cup sugar or honey if you prefer 1½ cups cream 150grams mixed berries, thawed and slightly mashed with a fork Method U sing a mixer or hand whisk, mix milk and sugar in a bowl for a few minutes until sugar has dissolved   Add cream and mix until combined Turn the machine on and pour the mixture into freezer bowl, and let it mix until thickened, about 25 minut...
