Hope your boy had a very nice birthday. A lovely couple of days of celebration for him after father's day yesterday. Surely there must have been something from Bunnings yesterday that could be called a birthday present ;) I'm sure he will love the cupcakes (and so will your little helpers).
Thanks for joining in this week. Lovely to see what's happening at your house. Lou.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your mannie ! Yes bring on the recipes - like Tina (above) we make loads of muffins/cupcakes each week - onto our second dozen this afternoon already(I only baked Sunday avo!)
I have been extremely lucky with blog giveaways lately and have won an extremely beautiful pack from the gorgeous and lovely Liesa at Handmade Heaven and a very supercute Bugga Bugs giveaway hosted by the very, very talented Alicia at The Red Deer , so a very BIG thank you ladies! If you haven't visited them yet, why don't you pop by for a visit and enjoy their fabulous blogs! So to give back to the good Karma giveaway fund, I visited a cake decorating store for some inspiration...and I came out with a box full of cupcake papers, that's about 600 or more. I think I was in that shop for a good 45 minutes, I am not joking, it's like a kid in a candy store...or a fabric store for my lovely sew crafty blog friends :) Now all you have to do is leave a comment, nothing much, just a hello or share a joke. I'll leave it open till midnight Saturday the 31st of October and also the end of Blogtoberfest and draw a winner from a hat or bowl or bag and announce it on Sunday...
I t has been a difficult week for me personally and I have struggled with every single day, smiling on the outside yet feeling breathless on the inside as the tears and sleepless nights seem to never end. It has been nine months and even though you hear that it gets easier as time goes on...well it hasn't and my heart still hurts and I wish I could make it better. We are having a cuppa to show support today and I hope I can get through it without too many tears. O n the upside, I have been making some brooches using Kylie's fabulous tutorial as a guide and I want to make you one , or maybe two as a way to say thanks and to make you smile . So just leave me a hello here wherever you are, I'll leave it open for a week or so and pick a name out of the virtual mixing bowl. After that, why don't you pop round to Kirsty's and check out some wonderfully creative girls. Hugs ♥ ✗ ♥
As the weather warms up the kids tend to ask for something cold and yummy to enjoy after school. Reading the ingredients labels on ice cream I feel at a loss trying to figure out what all those numbers mean, I mean really, it’s just ice cream, how many ingredients need to be in there after all. I love to try and make everything from scratch so why not ice cream, well I had a go and using an ice cream maker made it really quick and easy. Here’s a basic recipe I made using a Cusinart ice cream maker Berrylicious ice cream Makes 1 litre Ingredients ¾ cup whole milk ½ cup sugar or honey if you prefer 1½ cups cream 150grams mixed berries, thawed and slightly mashed with a fork Method U sing a mixer or hand whisk, mix milk and sugar in a bowl for a few minutes until sugar has dissolved Add cream and mix until combined Turn the machine on and pour the mixture into freezer bowl, and let it mix until thickened, about 25 minut...
Looking forward to reading your recipe...they sound so pretty. The little cupcake cases are so sweet. Enjoy the special day.
