I love it when you sneak into my bed for a cuggle at night
I love that you kiss my hand when we are walking along
I love that you help me unpack the cutlery from the dishwasher
I love that you say "bardon mummy" when you want me to repeat something


I love it when you spontaneously tell me that you love me
I love that you pick flowers for me on our walks
I love that you learnt to write your name weeks ago 
I love that you always want to help me do things

 

I love that you can jump as high as the sky on the trampoline
I love that you always draw pictures of mummy smiling
I love when you walk past the rosemary bush and touch it and then want me to smell your hands
I love that you love to bake with me

 

I love that daddy made you pizza for your special birthday dinner 
I love that you are now "vour!"
I love that you kiss Amelie goodbye on the hand when we drop her off at school


I love that you sit in the classroom and draw and colour in when mummy helps at Amelie's school
I love that even though daddy got you a toolbox, gardening gloves and a hammer for your birthday you wanted to take Hansel with you when we went out


I love your squishy, squishy cuddles
I love it when "it's cuddle time"
I love your sloppy kisses
I love that you are still my baby
and I especially love the way you make me feel

Honey Jumbles

I just realised that I have been using honey and spices in alot of things lately, I guess it's because it's winter and the smells and tastes make you feel warm and sweet. Have been thinking about making Honey Jumbles for a while and saw them over at Liss's the other day and definitely had to try them as they look and believe me they smell soooo good!  My critics advise me they are delicious and very moreish. Honey Jumbles ingredients 90g butter 3/4 cup honey 2 cups plain flour 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger 1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons milk   icing 1 egg white 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted vanilla extract  strawberry paste Method Place butter and honey in a saucepan and slowly bring to the boil over a low heat. Simmer for a few minutes, then allow to cool for about 15 minutes Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda and spices and add to butter mixture, gently stir in milk.  A...

As the weather warms up the kids tend to ask for something cold and yummy to enjoy after school. Reading the ingredients labels on ice cream I feel at a loss trying to figure out what all those numbers mean, I mean really, it’s just ice cream, how many ingredients need to be in there after all. I love to try and make everything from scratch so why not ice cream, well I had a go and using an ice cream maker made it really quick and easy. Here’s a basic recipe I made using a Cusinart ice cream maker Berrylicious ice cream Makes 1 litre Ingredients     ¾ cup whole milk   ½ cup sugar or honey if you prefer 1½ cups cream 150grams mixed berries, thawed and slightly mashed with a fork Method U sing a mixer or hand whisk, mix milk and sugar in a bowl for a few minutes until sugar has dissolved   Add cream and mix until combined Turn the machine on and pour the mixture into freezer bowl, and let it mix until thickened, about 25 minut...
